NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Sept. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Netter Digital Entertainment, Inc. (Nasdaq:NETT) today announced that Turner Network Television's (TNT) BABYLON 5, the two-time Emmy Award-winning series now in production for its fifth season, was honored this weekend with the 1997 Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation for the episode "Severed Dreams." This marks the second consecutive year that the series has won science fiction's highest honor, an accomplishment that hasn't been duplicated in 30 years.

"BABYLON 5's" win marks the ninth time in the 44-year history of the prestigious award that a television program has won over a motion picture. Michael Straczynski, series creator and executive producer, who also wrote the winning episode, executive producer Douglas Netter, producer John Copeland and the episode's director, David Eagle.

"This is a very exciting time for all of us," said Douglas Netter, Chairman & CEO of Netter Digital. "We are very proud, once again, to have been given this very prestigious award by the distinguished World Science Fiction Society."
