  1. Place the download file(s) into a directory of your choice.
  2. Run the command "pkunzip *.zip" (do not type the quotes) from a DOS prompt in the directory.
  3. Delete the .ZIP files if required.
  4. For Windows [NT] 3.x drag the .HLP file from your directory over a Program Group to create an icon, for Windows '95 / NT 4.x create a Shortcut to the .HLP file in the location of your choice.

If you downloaded the optional font files then you will need to install them through Windows' Control Panel in the normal way.

Replacing pictures

If you don't like a particular image, or would like to replace it with a higher resolution version, this can be accomplished by replacing the JPEG file in the directory that contains the graphical reference file. There are a couple of caveats with this however:

  1. You still need the graphical version of the Reference file.
  2. You cannot change the filename, although case does not matter.
  3. As some images are used in multiple topics to keep the bulk down, replacing the picture of Dr. Franklin and Lazarenn with Dr. Franklin alone will have an obvious adverse affect on Dr. Lazarenn's entry for example.

Mailbox icon Regrettably, although perhaps inevitably, some errata are likely to occur. Should you believe that you have discovered an error in the file please send details to detailing the subject title, the error and the correct details, giving a source if possible. If it is a "spelling" error, then I would much prefer the correction to be printed from an acceptable source; I have no intention of being drawn into debates over phonetic interpretations of video recordings...
